Fyodor Fyodorovich Radetsky

Fyodor Radetzky was born on July 28, 1820 in St. Petersburg into a family of a hereditary nobleman from the Courland gentry family of Radetzky-Mikulichy with a Calvinist religion. He devoted himself to the military field. He graduated from the Main Military Engineering School with the first officer rank of field engineer-ensign on August 13, 1839.
