Following the Kazon overthrow of the Trabe in 2346, many of these warships were seized by the various Kazon Sects. Those not seized were incorporated as part of the Trabe convoy.
The class was first encountered by the USS Voyager, days after their arrival in the Delta Quadrant in 2371, when one arrived to reinforce the Kazon-Ogla forces already attacking Voyager and Val Jean at the Caretaker's array.
