Another test cube of your 3D printer.
Made with freecad, I design this cube to test the edge outside and inside holes.
3 faces with circles 2,3,4,5,12mm and 3 faces with octogon 15mm and hexagon 10mm.
Results: Don't touch the number of steps per mm inside the firmware, but (here in Simplify3D, cura and others have the same) you need to adjust the size of your extruder, and you need to reduce the edge.
- First step, check the steps per mm of your extruder. Here, my extruder need 96 steps/mm. No need to print any thing.
- Second step, print one cube with normal parameters like steps per mm. My cube have 20.3mm and circle 11.7mm and some gaps on top.
- Third step, correct the size of your extruder to reduce the gaps on top.
- fourth step, correct the edge size. Here I reduce 0.15mm each edge.
Good luck.
