This may be the most stupid yet brilliant idea. As I mentioned in some of my previous makes, I live at student dorms and sometimes temperatures here reach 30C inside. So I came up with this cup cooler, sure I could have just used ice but that lasts like 15 minutes and then the drink is warm again. This cools it down and keeps it cool indefinitely.
Simply put I had a spare LGA2011 cooler, that utilizes 80mm fan (ARCTIC P8 PWM PST used, it's a perfect balance between performance and noise). On top is a 140W Peltier and a thin aluminium plate. Plate is screwed directly into the plastic piece which attaches to the cooler itself via M4 screws as it would on a motherboard. Underneath the aluminium plate are two magnets pulling the cup down onto the plate and providing solid contact for heat transfer.
Peltier: TEC1-12715 from https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIk75lG (2.45e)
Power Supply:12V 200W https://a.aliexpress.com/_EQnI7g6 (7.88e)
Total cost: 10.33e
Update:
Sorry forgot to include the dimen
