I installed these little LEDs in our cupboards, but did not like the lights shining in our eyes and this inspired me to try my hand at designing a simple but effective light shield or hood.

There is no machining to be done afterwards and you simply slide it onto LED light and adjust to your liking. You can also glue it in place, but I found that they stay in place pretty well by simple friction and clamping force if the tolerances are small.

I printed several with a similar grey PLA that I had handy and its a close match.

One can paint the LED facing side with white paint (or even nail varnish I guess) - it should reflect even more light into the cupboard.

Hope it works for you too.

Please let me know if it helped you out.

UPDATE: I've added a second design based off the 13s one, It has a broader shield for incase its at a much higher or much lower level than your eyes. Also added a heart motive that shines through when the light is on.
