We had a kitchen fire and all our curtain rod brackets were thrown out with the window trim. The curtain rods survived. My wife didn't like any of the replacement brackets available, so I offered to design custom replacements. This has been working nicely while we wait for the kitchen remodel. I printed the first one in wood PLA filament and a second set in black ABS. Both work just fine, but the ABS wasn't as tight sliding into the mounting bracket as the PLA because of shrinkage. The wood filament worked very well with the models provided. Both ABS and PLA held the rod tightly.
The brackets are 20mm wide. I printed 2 each of Bracket.stl and BracketSmall laying on their sides with Cura set to chop off the bottom 10mm (see cover picture). That way you end up with 2 halves. Glue the 2 halves together and sand the seam. Then print 2 copies of BracketMount.stl and mount to the wall with wood screws. Your choice to print them laying down or standing up. Just don't over tighten the screw
