Custom chair wheel

(UPDATE) 7 years on now since I first designed this wheel Im still using the original ABS wheel on the same chair. PLA wheels can last for a few years and mode of failure starts as de-lamentation of outer wheel contact area resulting in a blow out or flat wheel.

This is a solid customizable replacement for the standard 2 inch (50mm) office chair wheel with a 8mm pin . The wheels are very solid and my prototypes have stood up to 7 years of abuse with persons up to 250Lb . The wheel supports when printed in PLA seem to last for a few months at 250LB load ABS failed much faster for me but I need a better printer for ABS and I think Nylon might be a good choice but I haven't tested it. It is best to save and reuse the original chair support and remove the old axle from it and source the right size bolt.

I have additional fender designs in the works as well as wheel covers or hubcaps.
