A customizable kaleidoscope that I designed to accompany myself on hikes and impress the neighbor's kids!
STLs are provided, but there are two parts that require more info:
1.) "Kaleidoscope_Mirror" is a STEP file for a model I made in F3D. I cut mirror backed acrylic (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082ZBVH51?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) with a 1/8" flat O-flute at 5000 rpm, 1500mm/min feed rate. Cut 3 and then glue together into a triangle.
2.) No file for this one, but for the plastic slides that fit into the spinny bit I cut 8mm thick twin wall insulation (https://www.amazon.com/Polycarbonate-Shatterproof-All-Weather-Greenhouse-Covering/dp/B08KNMHWHS/ref=asc_df_B08KNMHWHS/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=475718218050&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=414154267993583820&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9060360&hvtargid=pla-1021728452572&psc=1) using the same cut settings as the mirror. Cut to 56mm in diameter.
There's also a slot in the mai
