There are quite a few paint racks available but I wanted one that:
-- I could fit in an Ikea Samla
-- Used as little filament as possible and printed as fast as possible
-- Did not rely on angled construction.
-- Fit paint dropper bottles ( Vallejo, Scale75, etc )
This paint rack is customizable in both width ( specify in the scad file ) and height ( print out as many of the rows as desired )
The bottles can be stored rightside-up or upside-down.
A 5x4 uses 96g of filament.
A 5 gallon Samla holds four 5x4 racks, or 80 paint bottles.
Instructions:
-- Print all of the pieces.
-- This will hold 2 rows of paint.
-- Print an additional copy of the middle (double-wide) piece for each additional row that you want.
-- Glue the parts together.
-- Put in the bottles.
Note: This now has presets for
- 17mm dropper bottles (Vallejo, Scale75, Army Painter)
- Citadel-style 12ml
- Citadel-style 24ml
- Vallejo-style 35ml bottles
- 502 Abteilung style oil paint tubes
