Customizable Phone Reading Prop

A small prop to hold a smartphone horizontally (Layout view) for hands-free reading.

I was disappointed with the size of my previous phone stand http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1289600. I wanted something that I could more easily carry around.

The default (and the included STL) is sized for an iPhone 5s in a Spigen case.
You can customize this for your own phone. Set the phone thickness based on the phone and the case. You may want to increase the stand height and/or width if your phone is much larger and needs more stability. If you increase the stand height, you may have to adjust the "Hollow offset" to move the hole back.
The "hat overhang" is the little clip in front. At 2mm, it perfectly grips around the edge of the case on my phone. If you don't have a case, or it doesn't jut out in front of the phone, you might want to reduce this to 1mm.
