Customizable Printable Filament

Don't run out of two color filament like I did on the green/yellow elephant. This filament generator allows you to print the length of filament you need without (much) extra waste. (The calculation isn't exact, so you may get between 0 and 1 loops extra.)

This is a customizable 3D printable filament generator. You can select the diameter of filament you need, set the size of your print area and the length of filament you need and this will generate just enough printable filament at the widest possible radius for your printer.

I like to slice a model, then see how much filament the slicer says I'll need, then print that amount of filament to avoid wasting extra filament for one off color combinations. This model produces a circular filament that has the bottom cut off for printability at the 45 degree angle. To print it, you need to set the extrusion multiplier to 1.1 to account for the loss of volume.
