Cute Bonsai Tree

BackgroundI recently purchased a roll of the Sakura Pink Matte PLA, and seeing the colour in person got me thinking: ‘What if I made a little bonsai sakura tree?’. So, with this in mind, I had a dig around online to see if there were any other models out there that would fit the aesthetic I was going for. But nothing quite took my fancy. So I decided to model my own in Blender! I used basic primitives and sculpting to shape the tree trunk and ‘leaves’ (although they do kind of look like clouds…). Then, I made ‘keyed’ pins that protruded from the tree trunk, So that the leaves could be pressed in, without having to print everything in one print (I shudder to think how much material would be wasted if you were to try to print this in place…). The current designs separates all different coloured parts, and allows you to fit them together later!The design currently does not require any extra materials or glue, as it goes together just with friction.
