Cyclops Cave Phone Stand

Description A Cyclops Cave Phone Stand inspired by Polyphemus from Homer’s Odyssey. The idea is simple: place your phone behind the cave opening, play the attached looping Cyclops eye video, and the screen becomes the glowing eye watching from inside the dark cave. The phone is not fully enclosed in a fixed-size slot; it simply rests behind the cave opening with enough clearance to position it easily. A small part of the phone may remain slightly visible from some angles, but from the front the illusion works very well. The attached video and sound are my own original creation, made specifically for this model. You can use the included loop or create your own animated eye video/GIF if you want a different mood. This model is designed as a fantasy desk object, phone display stand, and animated mythology-themed portal. Included parts Cyclops cave / portal body Separate skull detail for the lower-left entrance area Original Cyclops eye video loop with sound The small skull is printed separately and placed at the cave entrance to add scale and atmosphere. Video / GIF illusion Use the attached video loop of a single Cyclops eye looking through the dark cave. For best effect: set your phone brightness high play the video full screen position the eye in the center of the cave opening loop the clip continuously use the version with sound for a stronger atmosphere The original loop includes a moving Cyclops eye and custom sound design. The sound was created to suggest a creature breathing / lurking inside the cave. Printing notes The cave was printed in off-white PLA and then patinated by hand to bring out the stone texture. The skull was printed in white PLA and also patinated. The cave model uses supports in the back area to support the cave ceiling/overhang. These supports are not part of the visible front design and came off easily in my test print.
