I wanted a Chimera mount for my D-Bot that still allowed easy access to the adjustment set screws for adjusting nozzle height. My solution was to mount the fan with the intake facing the Y extrusion, and mount the Chimera with it's set screws facing the front of the printer. This is designed to use two 50mm radial blower fans for part cooling.
I printed the fan gasket in TPE(A solid plastic may work fine, the part is very thin), and the rest of the parts in ABS. This uses the standard D-Bot rear carriage. Print the fan shroud twice, with one of them reversed for each side.
Assembly is a little complicated. I mounted the fan to the carriage with 4 M3 x 14mm flat head screws. Place the fan gasket onto the screws, then attach the Chimera to the carriage wtih 2 M3x20 and one M3x15 screws. Attach the fan mount to rear carriage on the standoffs. Then place the spacers between the mount and the radial fan. Attached the fan using M3x30 screws and M3 nuts. I don't remember what length scr
