Available sizes S – 1:15 of the actual size | Normal & Pre-supported and Hollow versions Description Darwinopterus modularis was a genus of pterosaur from the Middle Jurassic period, about 160 million years ago, discovered in China. It displayed a unique blend of features seen in both primitive and advanced pterosaurs, with a long tail like earlier species and a more developed skull resembling later forms. This mosaic anatomy supports the idea of modular evolution—where body parts evolve in coordinated units. Darwinopterus had sharp teeth and a lightweight frame, suggesting it was an agile flier that likely hunted insects or small vertebrates. Its discovery provided a key link in understanding the evolutionary transition between early and later pterosaurs. Additional Details Chitubox file provided if you want to resize the model. Care should be taken when removing supports. Using a heat gun or a blow dryer is highly recommended.
