If you're using filament from dasfilament.de and the empty spools are piling up already the following might be a great option for you! They also sell refill spools and you can easily modify their existing spools to accept those - no need to sink a couple hundred grams of filament into the original Masterspool design.
Just cut your existing spools in half (hack saw works marvelously) and print this adapter, it perfectly fits with 40mm x M6 screws from Bauhaus and corresponding nuts. The inner design allows lower friction due to only three lines of contact. I printed this compatible to IKEA PAX coat hanger rails which are 25mm OD but just go into the first sketch of the Fusion file and choose your required OD (+1mm clearance), the file is parametric and will adapt.
Hardware needed:
3 M6 x 40mm machine screws, head 10mm OD
3 M6 nuts
