I downloaded the original from Thunderbear and although it fitted nicely into the slot of my machine, I noticed a couple of issues when I screwed it down. First, it was just a tiny bit too thick, so I cut it a bit thinner by one layer (0.15mm). He printed with PLA and I used PETG, so maybe that might explain the difference.
Second, when I printed it the insert had an ever-so-slight bow from front to back that I thought was just bad luck. Then I looked at the original insert that came from DeWalt and I noticed that theirs did just the same thing. So this must be a 'feature' of having a solid top and a not solid base. This also may explain why DeWalt included the two tabs at the back and the two springy tabs at the front, to help force the insert to be flat when inserted and screwed down. The original model from Thunderbear did not include these tabs so I put them on. Fits perfectly now and the front-to-back bowing has been eliminated.
