Decking Plank Spacer

This serves the same purpose as those little plastic spacers for doing wall tiling in the kitchen or bathroom. Only this is for deck planking to ensure close to a regular spacing.

With the variability in the wood decking width, curvature, etc. I found I was having trouble finding the "just right" spacing for the wood on a deck project, so I printed about fifty of these in one go and they worked to keep a nice regular spacing on the decking...

These are sized so that the width of the spacing tongue, when oriented as in the pictures, is 0.15" (3.8mm). To change this width for your needs just scale in the long direction (e.g. scale it 167% for a 0.25" deck spacing/gap, etc).
