This tray is useful for drying silica gel in food dehydrators. It prints a quarter of a plate at a time. The separate trays allow you to dry up to four batches per plate simultaneously, as they can be filled and removed individually. These trays are compatible with food dehydrator trays with a diameter of at least 25 cm. (You can resize them to fit other models.) They also fit the top tray, but I use trays with the mesh removed as a spacer. These "open" trays can also be stacked to accommodate a spool of filament for drying, making them truly multifunctional. Due to the high temperatures typically used in food dehydrators, the part should be printed with a heat-resistant filament such as PETG, ABS, ASA, or similar. PLA is not recommended, as it can warp when exposed to the high operating temperatures during the drying process. I used PETG on a textured PEI plate with a little glue stick to help with both adhesion and detachment once the print was finished.
