This is my remix of a Delta hot end counterbalance. The motors don't work as hard if you balance the weight of the hot end, diagonal rods, carriages and flying extruder (if used). This keeps the motors cooler, especially on long prints. I use bearings inside the pulleys, a bolt through the outer bracket and threaded rod between the wide spread top brackets. I use two nuts tightened together on each of the trap points to keep the pulley and threaded rod in place. I have two outer pulley brackets. One is a column mount for having the counterbalance weight off the corner and another for mounting it off a side. The pulleys are sized for para-cord. If you use the corner tap an M5 thread into the center of the aluminum extrusion for mounting.
