I made this protective cover for the Dewalt DCP580B 20V MAX Brushless Planer as it came without anything to protect the blade when stored away.
The print is right at 1 foot long so i had to print it on edge diagonally on my Sidewinder X1.
However, I'm pretty sure in this case printing on its side is the most structurally sound way to do it.
The front end of the tool slips into a slot in the cover, and the back of the cover is held on by a smartly placed rubber band or strap. There is an "S" shaped hole cut out of the cover for this purpose.
