Measuring between coners along the diagonal is a technique used to check things from CNC routers to window frames. Either cone is centred on the corners of a square. If printed correctly the measurement between either cone along the diagonal should be identical. Each cone should have a slight indentation at the top to help locate calipers or dividers. The cones are positioned 100mm along the x and y axis, and 141.42mm along the diagonals. If these measurements are different you will need to look into re-squaring your machine along the x and y axis. This may mean refitting the print bed runners or aligning other parts. Seek advice from your printers manufacturer.
07/01/2021 - I've added some additional shapes which I use to check for squareness. The 100x100mm frame is 2.5mm thick and the inside diagonal measurement should be 113.1mm. Outside diagonal measurement is 114.4.
