Diamond Skeleton Trophy

congratulation to the Grabcad team on reaching 4 million members... although its been few days i joined Grabcad but kind of addicted to all the awesome engineers uploading awesome models. so here's my entry to the four million member trophy challenge... ----diamond skeleton trophy--- the idea came to my mind when i was trying to 3d sketch a proper round cut diamond and finally filling the sketch lines with the pipe, tweaking the settings got this awesome shape of diamond. i call it diamond skeleton because it kind of look like skeleton structure of diamond (you can call it what ever you want).. modeled the diamond skeleton in a way it looks more organic and natural.. and for the base i made a crystal structure which looks different from different angles. the base structure is solid so as to hold the total model properly. the crystal holding the diamond skeleton kind of looks like the diamond skeleton is growing on that crystal (looks like a modern art).. the trophy lettering is done small to preserve the overall look of the model.. you can experiment with different colors for the model.. uploaded few different renderings with different color and materials... all the best 3d printing.. it will look quite awesome on a engineer's desk.... hope you like it... be sure to comment some tips, tricks or suggestions for this model.... regards, jayant...
