The v2 design is smaller and more compact than the original.
The first Dice Tome is able to hold roughly 7 full sets of standard size acrylic dice. The V2 is able to hold roughly 4 or 5 full sets of standard size dice. I used 6*3 mm magnets for both versions to hold and it seems to hold pretty well (even with a shake test).
