A differential casing, also known as a differential housing or carrier, is a component of an automotive or heavy-duty vehicle's drivetrain that houses the differential gears and bearings. The differential is a mechanism that allows the drive wheels to rotate at different speeds while still transmitting torque from the engine to the wheels.
