Dishwashers being in 1 of 2 states, clean and dirty. Using some personification this object takes a new spin on a classic product. When the dishwasher says "Feed Me!", load your dirty dishes in. When the dishwasher says "Empty Me!", one unlucky soul gets to put all the eatery away.
No more worrying about iffy magnets being bumped and the dishwasher state being uncertain. With a flap on a hinge the dishwasher state is stable and easily understood.
