A display that slips over the filament sensor and provides a digital readout of the width in millimeters. This can be used for 3D printers that do not have LCD displays, or if you do not (or can not) interface the sensor directly to the printer.
I also included a new sensor case, with a better light tower design.
Parts needed:
* filament width sensor see http://objectswithintelligence.weebly.com/
* 3 wire voltage display (0-30v input), (0-5v supply) from ebay (see picture)
* USB cable - can recycle one with a micro USB that no longer charges
*USB charger - to supply sensor power
* small cable tie
* printed part: LED Panel Voltmeter Case v2.stl
Optional:
Print out all the .stl files to replace the sensor case with the more streamlined tower design. You will need to attach the tower to the top plate with cyanoacrylates adhesive (superglue) for PLA. Also don't forget to pain the inside of the tower with flat black craft paint.
