Hello, everyone!
Not long ago, I saw the Nathan_I3 DIY project: GrandMA3 Command Wing ... and decided to replicate it. However, upon closer examination of the project, I did not like some of the solutions, so I decided to modernize them based on my preferences.
1) The case was assembled from a pallet and top covers.
I wanted the top part to be more attractive and all technical access to be from below.
(There are mounting holes left on the case cover; if not needed, they can be removed.)
The case was printed with PETG plastic and glued together with dichloroethane. Threaded m3 inserts are fused inside.
I used 6mm spacers and m3 x 12 screws to secure the boards.
2) Assembling the keys with “surface mounting” was also not suitable, as the wires could come loose due to shaking during transport from place to place if the soldering was poor.
(Printed circuit boards were made for the buttons and encoders, but if you do not have the opportunity or the necessary skills, do not do this. D
