DIY Guitar Stand

I haven’t picked up my guitar in years. It's in the case on the closet. I got to thinking that if the guitar was in the computer room where I spend most of my time, I’d be more likely to pick it up and mess around with it.

I decided to make a guitar stand for it. Sure, I could hop on Amazon and buy a stand, but what fun is that? Besides, this came out way better than those $10 cheapie stands on Amazon.

It uses 5/8 wooden dowels cut to the following lengths:

2 x 3"
2 x 5"
1 x 7"
2 x 10"
1 x 24"

The tolerances on the wooden dowels at your local hobby store usually leave much to be desired, so you may find that some are thinner or thicker than others. While some of my pieces were a tight fit, others needed a little bit of glue to make them nice and tight. So you may need some glue. I'm also including my original SketchUp model in case you need to tweak the model for your needs.
