B&O co-lab project with 4th semester design engineering students from the Technical University of Denmark: A wireless 360° speaker for home-use with two speaker units.
The cabinet and frame is designed around a Raspberry Pi 3 and two speaker units with 3d-printing in mind. The goal with the project was to design and build a functional speaker with mainly 3d-printed parts. We came up with a design that incorporated the use of lenses to help spread the sound. The cabinet is a combination of 3d-printing and laser cutting to ensure that we have a tightly closed structure without using too much printing time.
You'll need the following to construct the speaker:
- Raspberry Pi 3
- Peerless tweeter: BC25SC06-04
- Peerless 3in bass: PLS-P830986
- Copper wires
- 3mm plywood for lasercutting
- 11 M4 buttonheads
- 11 M4 nuts
