I decided to make my own setting circle for my Orion XX14i telescope since the intelliscope is not working well and there are no parts to fix it with. This is minimally destructive because you need to drill a roughly 38mm hole through the upper part of the base to put the reticle into, but the rest is just drop in. Included is the full circle (or a 4 part with dovetail connectors), bumpers to go around the round teflon bearings for fit, and a reticle to align the base to compass. Intent is for a multicolor printer to print the top couple layers in black and the rest in white (or whatever you think is best, I have thought about glow in the dark material.....)
There should be no issue using this on other Dobs if you resize the compass and bumpers to the desired diameter and shorten the reticle body so it doesnt over penetrate the base plate. I placed the ring on the inside of the teflon bearings because the stationary part of the base is triangular and I can reach where the ring si
