Door Closer for Pets

With my 3d printer came the opportunity to solve something that has been bugging me for years - my dogs never close the office door behind themselves, and always want me to get up to let them in and out of the office.

I made this specifically to look obvious because it was mean't to be fun - I was even tempted to give it a little spray of gold highlights to make it look aged.

It is designed to leave the door open just enough that the dogs can get there nose in and push the door open just enough. With a lighter weight, it closes slowly and does not make much of a noise - I added a black foam rubber bumper to just above the screw so that it would hit the top of the door frame first.
