Door latch routing template

Update:

files with 1-16 oversize (sorry to all you sensible metric folks out there)

Tolerances were too tight on original version, so increased by 1/16" - allows it to slip over a door after the door is painted and the routed area has more tolerance for poor stamping of the latch mechansim. Also, had to make the guide walls taller as when my bit arrived the bearing was further from the bottom of the cutter than expected.quick and dirty mod of original, so 2 sides of guide were just reduced by 1/16 in thickness.

Added raised text denoting size - just rub a white paint pen across letters to highlight them.

Added center points to help with alignment - but the safe way is still to insert your latch, trace it and use that to align the jig.

Needed a template to rout out for latches on 1-3/8" interior doors. Figured that would be a good first design project.

This template is specific to a 1-3/8"
