This design was created to deal with a problem with a door in our house. In the winter, the door frame contracts enough that the latch no longer seats in the latch plate. If you have the same problem just scale the Z direction, print and install behind the plate. Depending on the shape of the latch plate you may need to sand the corners to fit in the cutout.
