An effective method of reducing heat loss due to draughts around a doorframe.
The component has a flat edge which should be placed against the door frame. The curved edge will be in contact with the door and will flex so it is tight against the door without impacting opening.
The component is to be fixed to the doorframe using a method that suits you. I used an epoxy glue and has been fine without any mess.
The component is set at 100mm height - this can be stretched to suit your printer height. Multiple components can be printed to create the full height of the doorframe. Simply place the components on top of each other.
This was designed for an interior door. It will work on gaps from 4 - 7mm. The doorframe has assumed to be 35mm thick. The Fusion 360 file is included to allow easy modification to change these parameters if needed.
I printed this using PLA and it has drastically reduced heat loss. Much more effective than the insulation foam that I had previous
