Dove Tail Truss Cleat Prototype

I didn't like the blocky / solidness of the first cleat, plus it took a long time to print and used a lot of filament. Browsing thingiverse earlier in the week i spied upon the "Modified Parker Style Bridge" printed by Made Solid http://www.thingiverse.com/make:53762 it occurred to me to subtract from the cleat and hollow it out - making it a more aesthetically engaging object (to me) - and one that uses less material. it might be a wee bit weaker - but the art piece i am ultimately making this for will not require a lot of load bearing capability.
