I designed a downrigger for my aluminium boat. Easy to print, assemble and use :) Designed with a spring loaded locking pin for the spool so its easy to unlock and drop your rig and lock to your desired depht. 1 revoluton = 1 feet (3 revolutions per meter). The base with the spool can swivel on the mount if lifted up and has 10 positions. Recommended hardware needed, i found everything on Amazon: 1x 120-130mm M12 bolt fully threaded with two nuts as “center pin”.5x 45mm M6 bolt with nuts for the spool assembly.1x 35mm M6 bolt with nut for top pulley.1x 40mm M8 carriage bolt with nut for crank handle.2x 6x6x19mm ball bearing for top pulley (this is optional, but will increase durability).22mm aluminium or steel rod for shaft.1x 50-70mm M5 hex bolt for locking pin with a washer for grip and a suitable spring. I also added a 8mm steel ball on top of the hex bolt.2x M8 for fastening the mount to your boat.Your preferred amount of line, i used 25m of 1,5mm steel cable.
