The Dragon Scale Hanging Lamp is a piece of #FunctionalArt that can light up your home or game room. Just purchase a very inexpensive hanging light kit of your choice. I used this hanging lamp kit https://amzn.to/3OrAZxi from Amazon which has a rustic rope look that goes well with the dragon motif. Printed in Polymaker Starlight Blue https://amzn.to/4b9KJ8w This prints with zero infill and you'll be glad because this is a very time consuming print but well worth the wait! Print this with a brim. I chose to also color a single scale a different color with the X1C but this is equally impressive a single color. Once you print the tail you can attach it with a drop of super glue but it should press fit right in. Although the slicer may complain about supports, none are necessary for this print. Use 2 walls for good light transmission through the lamp, use more walls if you want a more opaque look. I used https://amzn.to/3OrAZxi as my rope lamp kit. Any kit that will allow for a 42mm hole (most) and bulb will work. I used a 60w (equiv) LED Bulb, brighter bulbs will result in more of the scales glowing. You can also choose to hang this from any existing ceiling mount by using a mount like this https://amzn.to/3OsvKNR instead of the rope looking cord. The tail is a completely optional component as well. My wife prefers it without the tail but I think it adds a better flow to the piece. Let me know what you choose in the comments at the bottom of the page! When it comes to hardware, I rely heavily on Bambu Lab 3D printers. My A1 Mini https://rb.gy/uofj5 is a staple in my office, while my fleet of X1C Carbons https://rb.gy/9r2az ensures rapid and high-quality production. #ComissionsEarned which help support my free model development.
