A work in progress dragonfly automata I was initially working on for a small project in my SolidWorks class. More .STLs of the prototypes to follow.
In bending the wire for the axle I found that the requisit tolerances were tighter than I could achieve with the spring wire and needlenose pliers I was using. In later iterations I will try a different method of bending as well as a thinner/more readily bent wire. Acetone was used to finish and join parts through solvent welding. Wire was heat-set into pre printed holes in ABS parts.
