A passion project of mine with a custom model of a Y-wing made from the ground up.
If you're planning to print this for X-wing, use the Beefy variants, and print at around 7%. I have not tested printing it with a resin printer yet, but hope to soon.
I've also included the model broken up in various ways depending on your FDM printer's capabilities. I printed mine with a Neptune 3 Pro with a 0.4mm nozzle, and some leftover PLA+ I had. Needed to break it up into pieces to print well at all, and the pylons also did not end up working at all, but that was before I made the beefy version anyways.
For those interested, the lore is this was made for dangerous outer-rim race, and the craft uses its bomb bay more as a nitro chamber, detonating internally in a phrik chamber and expelling the gas straight into the pylons for a huge burst of sub-light speed. The normal sensor bulbs on the pylons have been replaced with retro thrusters, and additional vents around the pylons allow for some cont
