Dredd badge with customisable name

I've just wrapped the stl of the original with some OpenSCAD script to create the name of your choice.
Play with size and spacing to get the name to fit as you wish it.

I am just learning so at present I can only offer the use of italic fonts.

I believe you then need to import the text over the badge in a design program of your choice.

The original stl seemed to have an error in the mesh that would not allow the full render in openscad.
I have run this through 3d builder to repair the file and then added a clip slot in the back to enable a safety pin to be added. The slot IS configurable for different size pins but I have not tested this as it was a separate mini project that I am still working on.

use dredd2.scad and Dredd_Badge.stl for updated model.
