Dremel 3D Idea builder spool adapter kit

This filament spool adapter kit allows you to use different brands of filament spools for your Dremel 3D Idea Builder. The spool adapter was designed for ProMolt 3D filament spools, but I bet it works on other ones as well.

It is kind of a pain to install the spool heightener, you first need to take off the 6 screws from the under-plating, and disconnect the ground from the unit. there was also a ferrite ring that is zip-tied to some cables right under the nuts. I had to cut the zip tie with some scissors to move the ferrite out of the way. I think they did that on purpose to make it as obnoxious to work on as possible. I had to have someone hold the screw nut on the underside as I screwed on the screw from the other side. I had some M3x25mm screws that I replaced the two shorter screws with, using the existing nuts. You can get a package of screws on amazon for about $3.00.
