Drill Bit

This is a SOLIDWORKS model of a drill bit. It is a helical tool with cutting edges at the tip that is used to create cylindrical holes in materials. The drill bit is made of a hard metal, such as tungsten carbide, to withstand the wear and tear of drilling. The model includes all of the major features of a drill bit, such as the shank, flutes, and cutting edges. The shank is the portion of the drill bit that fits into the drill chuck. The flutes are the spiral grooves that run along the length of the drill bit and help to remove chips from the hole as it is being drilled. The cutting edges are the sharp points at the tip of the drill bit that actually cut the material.
