I use a low power laptop for field logging and FT8. It requires 19 Volts and 2.5 amps to run. To be able to use it for field operations I needed a boost converter that would run on my 12V battery. This boost converter will supply up to 5 amps (per the spec). It is at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RBN31DT?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1While you can use any output adapter you want, I designed this box to fit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DNTDYT8Z?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleThe specs say the fan is only necessary at higher current draws, but I put a fan on to be safe. I used this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KS36L66?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 CAUTION - this is a press fit design that does not require hardware. The fit is snug. Once assembled, a screwdriver is required to separate it and the pins that hold it together will probably break. Boost MeI do a crazy assortment of models that I find useful. I share them in case they could help so
