Dropcam Pro Doorbell Case Angle Mount

This is a custom case to hold my original Dropcam Pro and turn it into a Doorbell Camera. The case comes in 2 parts: the main case that holds the Dropcam main body and has room for a USB cable, and an insert to keep the camera in place when mounted. The cable is routed to the side to accommodate the wire running down the door frame and into the house for power. There is a 25% angle to the case to capture the street and sidewalk traffic.

To mount, I used standard 3M double-sided tape. This is quite permanent, and it would probably be better to have a mounting hole for screws or such if the camera needs worked on, but I couldn't drill into my door frame so this was my solution. The USB cable runs into the house through the door jamb and to a USB AC adapter. The Nest App on iOS records and notifies when people or cars/dogs/deer/mail delivery/etc go by.
