This is a 3D printed case for my Nikon D3200 (although it would probably work for most DSLRs). This case protects the camera from rain and acts as a theft deterrent, allowing a camera setup to be left unattended while taking a time-lapse. The case is waterproof and very sturdy.

I use [this cable](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004Y8DF/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_18?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) to secure the case to the camera and to the tripod. It took several attempts to discover the configuration that works securely. I then use a bicycle chain/lock to secure my tripod to something fixed.

I have now used this setup to take time-lapses in sun, rain, and snow without issue.
