My Grandchildren love trains and especially their toy trains. I developed a series of Duplo train accessories to include tracks and train cars to further their enjoyment and enhance their creativity. This model is my latest and most difficult design. The size required to keep a gradual incline such that the train doesn't stall out barely fits on an A1 and Pxx printer. The design includes features that reduce the amount of support material, reduce the amount of filament required to print and increase plate adhesion. The incline includes a geared section that moves the wheel drive from the outside of the train tires to the inside geared portion of the tire. This acts as a low gear for the train increasing engine power by approximately 25% while decreasing train speed by the same amount. The bridge is divided into 2 sections that snap together similar to Duplo blocks. The top section requires 3 Duplo blocks to complete the bridge. I've included a 3-block high model that can be used instead. You will need 2 sets of bridge parts. One set to go up and the second to go back down. The 2 bridge assemblies require a section of track to connect between the assembles. You can use a single track or multiple track pieces. If using multiple, the track will be elevated 6 Duplo blocks high. You can use 6 Duplo blocks or 2 of my Duplo 3-block high parts.
