I recently took apart my old laptop and decided to make an enclosure for the optical drive. You will need to buy a sata to USB adapter. For assembly you just have to slide it in the enclosure and fix it in place with 3 M2 x8mm screws. Please note: this in not a universal optical drive adapter. It was specifically done for the Sony Optiarc DVD/CD rewritable drive, model no. AD-7700H
