Uploading an experiment that I did a few years ago, by replacing the back metal bracket with a 3D printed bracket, as shown in this video:

From the above video tutorial, I tried to convert a kick scooter to an electric scooter, but the only part that was missing was the steel backwheel bracket (I did not have welding tools or know where to get steel parts), so I decided to 3D print and design a bracket to test its strength.

After a few experiments, I found out in order to harden and strengthen the layers, I could use a blow-torch (mini-flame) until PLA anneals to a glass-like crystalline structure. I had to use transparent or translucent PLA filament for this method, and by increasing walls/shells of the print. PETG filament did not work as the layers carbonized and layers did not anneal together successfully. Feel free to test with this method.
