Dented my trunk a while ago and thought that it is a great opportunity to do something new.
The Ducktail in the pictures is holding onto the car with double sided tape in case it looks odd .
FILE FORMAT: STEP
HOW IT IS DESIGNED:
First I made high quality scan of the trunk which you can find in my profile for free. Imported it into my CAD software and started designing around it ensuring it fits perfectly so it could be mounted without any problem whatsoever.
HOW I PRINTED IT:
The Ducktail is cut manualy in the slicer (5 individual parts, no allignment pins, bed capacity:256x256x256mm, Printer: Bambu Lab X1C), aplied a 6mm brim to every piece to avoid warping which appeared in a test print I did. The parts are put together with a two component glue (the parts were preped with sandpaper beforehand for better adhesion).

Prep for paint:
Sand down with sandpaper so the bodyfiller sticks (clean the surface with a degreeser before applying the filler). I u
